he enterprising North Jersey chef/restaurateur Ryan DePersio is known for Fascino in Montclair and Battello—two of NJM’s favorite restaurants—and Kitchen Step in Jersey City. Earlier this year, DePersio opened an outpost of Kitchen Step at Newark Liberty International Airport’s impressive new Terminal A. “I love the fact that our airport diners’ first or last meal in New Jersey is pure Jersey eats,” he says.

Why did you decide to expand Kitchen Step to the airport?
Actually, we were recruited! My business partners were approached by Master ConcessionAir, a Miami-based international restaurant group. Their business model is to partner with known chefs who deliver consistent quality, and work with them to open their brand in their area airport. The goal is to give passengers a local experience, not to mention good food. The company has a great reputation, and I loved the concept. We opened on January 15 of this year.

P.F. Chang’s has opened an airport outpost at Reagan National Airport’s new commuter concourse, Concourse E.

It is P.F. Chang’s sixth location in the D.C. area, and is operated by MasterConcessonAir LLC.

P.F. Chang’s opened its first takeout and delivery-only restaurant in D.C. in Dupont Circle last June. The airport location has the chain’s traditional menu as well as To-Go meals, several TV screens and a lounge seating area.

P.F. Chang’s joins other restaurants in the new concourse, including Elevation Burger, Mezeh Mediterranean Grill, Peet’s Coffee, Timber Pizza Co. and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Bites. The new concourse also features newsstands and retail stores.

USA. MarketPlace Development has partnered with  Master ConcessionAir and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority to open a  P.F. Chang’s restaurant at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

The Concourse E eatery joins six existing P.F. Chang’s locations in the Washington metropolitan area. Other US airport locations include ATL Hartsfield Jackson, Detroit, Los Angeles and Tampa.

The 5,800sq ft restaurant offers elevated Asian cuisine to on-the-go customers at the Washington hub. The menu includes popular P.F. Chang’s made-from-scratch dishes such as Chang’s Spicy Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Chang’s Lettuce Wraps.
